I Wanna Talk About M.O.T.O. Life

Since 1981,                     (a.k.a. Masters of the Obvious) have been playing all over North America as well as Europe, Australia, Japan and China with their massive sing-along punk rock anthems, earning them a worldwide cult following while amassing a LARGE, varied discography.

The lineup has seen many changes over the years, with founder Paul Caporino as the only original member.

PAUL & J.V. Line-Up

2012-Present

Punk zine Razorcake published Paul and J.V.'s Chinese tour diary, which can be enjoyed here.

In September 2012, Caporino married bass player J.V. McDonough (who at the time was playing for the now-defunct River City Rebels), and she played her inaugural show for M.O.T.O. on November 24, 2012.

Paul and J.V. toured almost non-stop from that point on until 2015, making two trips to Japan, a tour of Finland that included stops in Estonia and Berlin, and most notably, a three week tour of China in 2013.

The Paul and J.V. lineup has recorded the following:

The "Shitty Kids" 7" (Secret Mission Records)

The "Chinese Rocks" LP (Blast of Silence and Secret Mission)

AND an upcoming split single with PKN (Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät) on Blast of Silence.

Also, during this time, Paul recorded the "Golden Quarter Hour of M.O.T.O" 8 song/ 7" single as a 4 track recording.

2009-2012

2009 marked Caporino's departure from Chicago. A brief residence in Providence was followed by a move back to New Orleans.

During that time, he conducted an almost ceaseless, ongoing tour that took him to Europe, Japan and then Australia, as well as across the U.S. and Canada several times.
